Before working with WellHome Inspections, I hadn’t actually worked with mold inspectors before — my experience was mostly with contractors who were repairing water damage. Looking back, I realize how much I didn’t know at the time. I now understand that I should have required a proper remediation protocol during those repairs to prevent potential mold growth, but that simply wasn’t something I was aware of then.
What really stood out about my experience with Chapman and WellHome Inspections was the level of care and thoroughness. Chapman spent several hours inspecting the property and approached the process with incredible attention to detail. He didn’t just check the obvious areas — he investigated every sink, plumbing access point, and even exterior areas that could have contributed to moisture intrusion. He also took multiple samples in places I wasn’t even certain needed testing, simply to ensure nothing was overlooked.
That level of diligence made a huge difference. Instead of a quick walk-through, the inspection felt like a true investigation aimed at understanding the full picture of what might be happening behind the walls and in areas I wouldn’t think to check.
Another thing that gave me a lot of confidence was knowing that Chapman does not perform remediation work. Because he has zero financial interest in the cost of repairs, the inspection felt completely unbiased and on my own timeline. His goal was clearly to uncover the truth and give me accurate information so I could make informed decisions about next steps.
Overall, the process gave me a much better understanding of how moisture issues and mold risks should be handled, and it gave me real peace of mind knowing the inspection was done thoroughly and without any hidden agenda. I would absolutely recommend WellHome Inspections to anyone who wants a careful, honest, and extremely detailed mold inspection.
Chapman with WellHome Inspections has been an amazing resource to our family during a stressful time of addressing toxic mold in our home.
His expertise, and more importantly, his care and concern for the wellbeing of our family has made all the difference to us. In our experience with the many different service providers in the mold remediation industry, many of those businesses are impersonal and only concerned about their bottom line.
Chapman helped us navigate the industry by providing a thorough inspection of our home, successfully locating all the sources of hidden mold in our home, as well as helping hold our remediation company accountable through his thorough and responsible post remediation assessment.
Chapman’s commitment to high standards from start to finish allowed us in the end to work with a less than ideal remediation company and still succeed with achieving our goals. Had it not been for him, we would not have the peace of mind to consider our home safe to live in again.
He gets our fullest recommendations for helping families navigate the stressful and difficult challenge of addressing toxic mold.
I have been having allergy-like symptoms in my home over the past couple years and have had my space inspected several times.
I have used the highest rated and most recommended mold inspectors in my area and got very mediocre services. I was told there was no mold, no water damage and nothing to worry about, but I was still feeling TERRIBLE!
Thankfully, my boyfriend had a connection to WellHome Inspections, and though I felt I had exhausted every avenue, I gave them a try. I was taken seriously and received an incredibly thorough home inspection and had several spaces in my home swab tested (which no one had ever even done before!!)
I finally felt validated as the tests came back positive for mold.
They took photos of everything that they found and walked me through each part step by step and offered solutions for every problem. They even sent me PDF documents of lab results and explained each mold source and how it would affect me.
I do not have a big budget to remediate and they were able to help me prioritize different areas of my home that needed to be addressed sooner rather than later. Mind you, they do not remediate themselves, so they were actually providing me with unbiased advice and direction.
I am SO GLAD I decided to work with WellHome Inspections and if you’re debating having them in your space, do it – you will not regret it!!
Thank you !!
Before working with WellHome, the inspectors who came through our home felt surface level and rushed, as if they were simply checking boxes and telling us what we wanted to hear rather than truly investigating.
Chapman’s approach was completely different.
He was thorough, intentional, and incredibly educational, and we learned more during his visit than we had from all of our prior research combined. He identified moisture issues in areas we did not even realize were a concern.
His consultation included clear documentation and practical guidelines that gave us real peace of mind, especially with a baby on the way, and his expertise helped us have more productive and streamlined conversations with our contractors.
What stood out most was how much he genuinely cares. He took his time, answered every question, and made sure we fully understood what was happening in our home and what needed to be done to fix it properly.
I actually hadn’t encountered any mold inspectors/ “mold guys” before, but have had friends to have bad experiences, which led me to seek WellHome’s services, especially given his prior experience and history.
I watched first hand what Chapman and his wife went through and I knew his character. He has heart in this business and I knew I could trust his services. He cares about the health of his clients and that’s extremely important to me.
I love how detailed the protocol is. That way when I do take action (I’m in the process of buying a house and have yet to close), I’ll know exactly what information to give the remediation project managers / workers.
It gives me great peace of mind that Chapman does not perform remediation and has zero financial interest in the cost of my repairs. As I’ve already said, he truly cares about his clients and has our best interest at heart.
Having Chapman independently guide us through the remediation decisions very much reduced our stress and overwhelm. Also, knowing that my house is safe to move into gave me great peace of mind. Thankfully there are only a few things I need to correct before moving in to make it even safer.
As someone with an autoimmune disease and a higher sensitivity to mold and the quality of the air I live in, I’m so grateful for WellHome Inspections.
Before working with Chapman, my biggest frustration was feeling like my concerns weren’t taken seriously.
Other inspectors were quick to do a surface-level check, run a basic air sample, and move on. When I brought up symptoms or moisture concerns, it often felt minimized — almost like I was overreacting. There was very little education or explanation, and I left more confused than reassured. I did feel dismissed at times, which only added to the stress of an already overwhelming situation.
What immediately felt different about my experience with WellHome was the depth. Chapman approached the inspection like an investigation, not a checklist. He explained what he was looking for and why it mattered.
The most valuable part of the inspection protocol was clarity.
Knowing Chapman had no financial incentive tied to the scope of work was huge! It assured me I could trust every recommendation he gave. His advice was based purely on what was necessary — not profit.
Mold situations are emotionally draining and confusing. Having an independent expert guide the decisions, review contractor recommendations, and advocate for proper protocols reduced my stress significantly. Instead of feeling alone and second-guessing everything, I felt supported and confident.
